Lab Mixer
Our Lab Mixer is engineered to meet the demanding requirements of laboratory-scale mixing applications. Built with precision and durability in mind, it offers a reliable solution for research, development, and quality control teams. Whether you're working with liquids, powders, pastes, or emulsions, this mixer delivers consistent, homogeneous results with ease.
Designed for versatility and user convenience, the lab mixer supports a variety of mixing attachments to handle diverse materials and viscosities. Its compact footprint and quiet operation make it ideal for laboratory environments where space and noise levels are critical.
A Lab Mixer operates by imparting mechanical energy to the material being mixed, promoting uniform blending of components within a container. The core mechanism involves a motor-driven shaft connected to mixing tools such as paddles, blades, or propellers, which rotate at variable speeds to agitate and combine substances efficiently.
When the motor is switched on, it drives the shaft and attached mixing tool(s), creating fluid motion within the vessel. Depending on the mixer type and attachment:
- Overhead mixers use blades or impellers that generate shear forces and turbulence, breaking down agglomerates and ensuring thorough mixing.
- Planetary mixers rotate the mixing tool around its own axis while simultaneously revolving around the mixing bowl, creating a sweeping and kneading action ideal for viscous and sticky materials.
The speed of rotation and the design of the mixing tool determine the intensity and nature of mixing, allowing the lab mixer to handle a wide range of materials from low-viscosity liquids to high-viscosity pastes.
The process continues until a homogenous mixture is achieved, with no visible segregation or unevenness. Many lab mixers offer adjustable speed controls, enabling users to optimize mixing for specific applications and material characteristics.
