Continuous Mixing. Seamless Flow. Superior Results
An Inline Mixer is a high-shear mixing device installed directly into the process piping. It allows continuous mixing, dispersion, or emulsification of ingredients as they flow through the mixer chamber.
Unlike batch mixers, inline mixers do not require a dedicated vessel, making them ideal for high-throughput, clean, and automated processing lines.
It uses a rotor–stator system to create intense shear zones that ensure uniform mixing and micron-level particle size reduction — all while the product is pumped from one stage to another.
An Inline Mixer works by continuously mixing fluids and/or solids as they flow through a pipe or tube without the need for a separate mixing vessel. The mixer is installed directly into the pipeline, where the materials are combined and homogenized in a controlled, continuous process.
Inside the inline mixer, a high-speed rotor (also called an impeller or homogenizing head) rotates within a stationary stator. The rotor creates a strong shear force by rapidly accelerating the fluid and forcing it through narrow gaps in the stator. This action breaks down particles, disperses immiscible liquids, and thoroughly blends components.
The continuous flow through the rotor-stator assembly ensures uniform mixing with high efficiency and short residence time. By adjusting the rotor speed and the gap between rotor and stator, the mixer can be tuned for different levels of shear and mixing intensity.
