Store Keeper
Role Overview
Experience: 3–8 Years
Education: Diploma,Bachelor’s Degree (Any Discipline – preferably in Commerce or Engineering)

As a Store Keeper, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory and stores operations—receiving, issuing, storing, recording, and tracking all materials, tools, components, and finished goods. You’ll ensure proper stock levels, maintain store hygiene, and support the production and purchase teams with accurate material flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, components, and tools; verify quantities and quality as per PO and delivery challans.
- Maintain proper labeling, storage, and segregation of items as per categories (raw material, consumables, spares, etc.).
- Issue materials to production/shop floor based on approved requisitions or job orders.
- Maintain accurate stock records in manual registers and ERP systems (Tally / custom software).
- Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and yearly physical inventory audits.
- Coordinate with purchase and accounts teams for GRN, invoice matching, and payment approvals.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and raise timely reordering alerts to purchase team.
- Ensure proper stacking, housekeeping, and safety in the store area.
- Track and manage tools, instruments, and returnable gate passes.
- Support in dispatch activities including packing, documentation, and logistics coordination.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma , degree in Commerce, Science, or Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
- 3–8 years of experience in stores/inventory management in a manufacturing or engineering company.
- Knowledge of engineering components, fabrication items, electrical spares, and consumables.
- Experience in ERP-based inventory systems (Tally ERP).
- Familiarity with GRN, stock reports, issue slips, and inventory documentation.
- Basic understanding of BOMs and job cards in manufacturing.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and record-keeping ability.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Email.
- Able to operate barcode scanners and basic measurement tools (if needed).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a custom machinery or capital equipment manufacturing setup.
- Exposure to ISO / GMP documentation and traceability systems.
- Knowledge of safety protocols for storing hazardous or sensitive materials.
