Verti-Cone Dryer/Mixer
The Verticone Dryer/Mixer is a universal batch dryer/mixer suitable for drying/mixing materials such as powders, granules, pastes and viscous slurries, especially when products are heat sensitive, contain solvents and are toxic or explosive.
The Verticone dryer/mixer is capable of handling products that become heavy and sticky during drying and can also be used for vacuum operations such as reaction/crystallisation, heating/cooling, sterilisation, liquid/solid separation and de-aeration.

Working Principle
The thermal energy needed for drying is introduced into the product through a steam/oil/water heated jacket.The screw agitator, turning on its axis, produces a lifting action as it spirals the materials in an upward flow. Material lifted by the screw gravitates downward, thoroughly intermixing with material being spiraled upwards. Thus the efficient mixing distributes the heat through the product.
The vacuum inside the dryer allows vapor to be removed at low temperatures. The vapors are removed through a dust filter fitted on top of the vessel. A condenser fitted to the dryer is used to recover solvents.
Applications
