Bromec AutoCoat
Bromec AutoCoat is an equipment that coats the external surface of tablet using a thin film of coating material. The Machine is relatively simple where application of coating material is done on a moving bed of tablets and removing rapidly the solvents using current hot air. The tablets to be coated are placed in closed perforated drum which is made to rotate continuously in an orbital manner the influence of streamlined plates.
During the orbital motion of tablets the coating media is sprayed automatically in a rational manner in order to avoid excess coating on tablets. Angled baffles are also fitted into the drum, which cause the tablets to be lifted and turned from sides of the drum and onto the center exposing all the sides of the tablets to the sprayed coating.
Whilst the spraying is on, hot air is introduced from the perforated tablet bed which causes rapid drying of the coating medium and also acts a means to mix the tablets. The regulation of air flow provides controlled drying and tablet extraction rates and also allows an evenly spread medium on the tablets giving the tablets a smooth solid surface.

Working Principle
The tablet to be coated are moved in an orbital fashion in an continuously rotating perforated drum under the influence of streamlined plate. During the orbital motion of tablets the coating medium is sprayed on to the tablets in a cotrolled manner. Hot air is introduced which causes rapid drying of the coating medium and also a means of mixing the tablets.
